venuss Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I have been literally obsessing over ex for the past three months; and I am sick and tired of it. It's the first time I have really liked someone, I feel like it's taking over my spare time, I can't think properly, I cry sometimes; I can't concentrate on anything. Please don't suggest, "Find someone else to like." I just want to get rid of these feelings, rather than having to depend on another emotional mess to fix this one. Thanks.
forgetmenot75 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 No Contact. And keep you busy. I'm trying to overcome infatuation and it's extremely difficult. there's no easy or quick way. Just try to delete him from your life: don't look at his pics, don't read his messages, don't look for him, don't stalk him: delete him! 1
melodymatters Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I have been lucky to never get hung up on a guy because I seem to have been born with this belief : If he doesn't think I am THE GREATEST thing since sliced bread, can't wait to talk to me, thinks i'm beautiful first thing in the morning because he loves ME so much, then why would I waste my time in a lesser relationship ? It's NOT magic, or special or romantic if it's not there for both parties, it's crap, and I'll wait for someone with whom I have that magical connection. I know just reading that doesn't help, but if you could work on adopting that way of thinking I promise it will serve you well ! Good luck. 1
