SoonMyFriend Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Quick question for the group! I want to break out of my comfort zone and send a flirty text to my boyfriend while we're both at work. Nothing NSFW (no nude photos! Or explicit texts!) but just a fun "guess what I'm wearing under my jeans today..." (The answer is a thong, he LOOOOVES them and I rarely wear one, and we're seeing each other tonight after work). What's holding me back is two things- number one, I am a shy person esp. when it comes to texting stuff like this, so I haven't done it before. Would it be too much to send my first one while we're at work? And secondly, is the general consensus don't send stuff like this during work hours?? Help this sexting newbie!!!
Brunettie Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I think you should go for it. Guys like getting stuff like that. It'll brighten his day and make him smile
ASG Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 If anything, they're more fun during office hours! I remember once getting a very naughty pic from a guy I was seeing... I almost fell off my chair! And I had other people in the room. It was awesome! do it! That's fairly innocent anyway! 1
CarrieT Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Word of Warning: Be careful over your work environment. I actually was written up by a supervisor when I started a Sexting relationship with the guy who is now my fiance. It was "noticed" that I was spending more time on my phone than doing my work. (In reality, I was a scapegoat for everyone else in the office who was equally as guilty with their noses in their phones, but the amount of time spent on phones that is not work related can often be an excuse to get rid of an employee).
Ami1uwant Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Im assuming you two dont work at the same location...... Another issue to address-----are these your work issued phones or emails you are writting this in? Many companies have a zero tolerance polict in this. also you have to be careful if you talk about doing this to a best friend who is a coworker----it can be perceived as sexual harassment by someone overhearing this. If its both of your personal phones then have fun.
Star Gazer Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 As long as you're not sending texts on company property (a phone paid for by your employer), go for it!
Author SoonMyFriend Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 I never came back to report how things went!! First off - these are not work phones, but personal phones. We work at the same location, but it's literally a huge campus and we go days/weeks without ever running into each other on the property. He works on the other side of the building. Second - I did it! Haha, I snuck away from my desk with my phone and quickly sent it. When we got together after work he said he laughed at the text, thought it was cute, and then shortly after that we had our clothes off hahaha. So yes, I think he liked it and it certainly helped my confidence in doing that agin
Eternal Sunshine Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Are you kidding? You need to do more of that. That's how I like to create sexual tension in early dating stages. I have never known a guy to get turned off by it If you are shy, try to get more comfortable with your body and sexuality. I suggest having a glass or 2 of wine, and having an artsy nude photo taking session by yourself. Just be careful who you send them to 1
Author SoonMyFriend Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 Haha, sadly not kidding Eternal Sunshine. My sexual confidence is really quite low (a lot of backstory, but basically have dealt with vaginismus, depression about my body, etc etc) so this was a big step. I've always feared I would send out stuff like that and get mocked for it, rather than rewarded, and am only now really starting to break out of that mentality. It helps having a great boyfriend who responds to stuff like this! (My ex was never one for stuff like this, and even couldn't care less if I ever wore lingerie). This was a big step for me and I am so proud of myself for taking it. Can't wait to see what i do next!! Haha 1
