MidwestUSA Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 You're really not helpful are u? Who said anything about him hating me? He irritates me with these ways but its really not that serious. Maybe I'm just fussing like my sister says Ah, there ya go. When's your next date?
Carenth Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 You're really not helpful are u? Who said anything about him hating me? He irritates me with these ways but its really not that serious. Maybe I'm just fussing like my sister says A guy who has very negative stereotypes about an entire gender, who puts you down constantly. That doesn't sound like a loving person at all. Wouldn't be someone I would want to be with. I have more self worth than to let someone who is supposed to care about me insult me, disrespect me and try to lower my self esteem. To me those would be deal breakers and the fact he is acting like this in such a short period of time shows it's only the tip of the ice berg. I agree with Emilia, don't go to your sister for advice if that is the kind of answer she is giving you. God if my sister was going out with someone like that I would tell her to get the hell away. My sister however has self worth so that isn't an issue. Maybe I'm just fussing like my sister says Clearly, you want to believe that you're just being oversensitive. Most sane people would tell you, though, that this guy is abusing your insecurity/low self-esteem, and getting out his anger/misogynistic views/hatred of women on you. Soon enough you will suffer from even lower self-esteem, if you stick around this guy long enough. Have you ever told him, that's not a nice thing to say/I'm offended by what you just said? Has he ever apologized?
curlygirl40 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 My ex did this sort of stuff to me too and it only got worse. It was like he had to cut me down to feel better about himself. It's just wrong. Not how someone who loves someone else should treat them. I'm in camp 'run'. Firmly. Good luck!! 1
