What is the point? I ignore it, and he goes silent again? Been over 3 months since the last contact, which I ignored and blocked.

 

Then get this contact and I obviously ignore it again. Then he goes silent, to when he next decides to send me one message?

The point is for them to see if they can still make you jump at a whim. It's an ego stroke for them to see if you still want to respond. They think "I've still got them even a little bit."

 

Don't ever give in.

They're bored, curious if they still retain and power over you. They are looking for a reaction. I totally agree with NC. They dumped us and said they don't want us in their lives anymore and they want to go find someone better. We owe them NOTHING! No response, no respect, no curtesy of a response, nothing.

 

The only thing I'd respond to if I was still interested in them is a direct statement via email or text saying they blew it, love me still and would I consider talking to them again. This wouldn't apply if I/we were cheated on, left for another, etc..

I've done it. Usually a result of breaking NC in spite of resisting, until the next relapse Sounds like your ex has seasonal relapses

I have blocked on emails etc. Just as he ain't texted my phone in ages.

I thought he would of deleted long ago
