JackieChiles Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I would love a girl's opinion on this. I've never asked a girl out for the next night. I've always liked asking 3-4 days in advance for obvious reasons. But basically, I am going to ask this girl out tomorrow who's I met two weekends ago, and we met through mutual friends. We've communicated on an off within the 8 or so days and met each other out the other night with our groups of friends. I was going to ask her out Thursday, because that just worked out well. I was going to invite her out to trivia at a bar/restaurant, but realized that there is another place doing trivia that would be much more ideal on Tuesday. The first place (Thursday) is fine, and I don't feel like I should ask her out for the next day instead. It's not a big deal. I was just curious if any women had any input.
D-Lish Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Just go ahead and ask. If I liked someone and was available I'd say yes. 24 Hours notice is perfectly okay. 1
maestrok Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I would agree with D-Lish. If I were her, I would say yes as long as I am interested in seeing you and actually available to do so. 1
Gottabestrong Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I prefer to be asked a few days in advance. That being said, if I feel that the invitation is spontaneous and due to some external circumstances (an event taking place) I would be happy to be asked. For example, I have a date for Friday night with the guy I am dating. If he called me today asking if I wanted to hang out tomorrow too, I would be happy and not upset about the last minute. I'd be less happy if he wanted to reschedule from Friday to Tuesday, because I would think that he has something more exciting come up for the weekend. I guess the important thing is to make her feel like she is not a last minute Plan B, but someone you are excited to see ASAP. Good luck! 1
