FairyDust11 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Hi guys, I'm wondering if anybody can help me out with this? I met a great guy a few weeks ago while out with my girlfriends, we chatted for hours at the nightclub and eventually I agreed to go back to a party with him. The party was great, stayed up all night chatting with him until I felt pretty hungover and had to go home and sleep. He paid for everything, drinks, cab, food etc. (real gentleman) he asked me to come in and meet him again that night and after some sleep and shower I reluctantly agreed, so we went on like a date, drinks, bit of kissing etc. stayed the night (no sex), he brought me for breakfast the next morning and I headed home. So we were texting later on in the day and then I just stopped hearing from him. So like a week later he calls me, told me he was on holidays (which he had mentioned before) and told me he missed me. So I was going to a birthday around where he lives at the weekend so he suggested I stay at his the night before which made sense because it is quite far from me. So the day we arranged to meet up I went to the beach with a friend of mine. She stated that she didnt think it was a good idea for me to go and see him as she felt he has a bit of a player. I really didn't see the harm in it but she INSISTED on coming with me. So I asked the guy would it be ok and he said sure and that he was gonna get his friend to come along and we should have a bit of a party. So anyways, my friend was taking aaaaaages to get ready and we didn't leave until 8pm (the time I had originally agreed to meet the guy) and the drive takes about three hours. So I arrived way late and I could tell that he was a bit pissed that I was so late. I did apologise profusely. We had a great time though, my friend even hooked up with his friend and all seemed to be fine but that was a week ago. I text him that day and thanked him for letting my friend stay and I didn't get a reply. And I text him again last night (drunk) just to say hello and still nothing. Have I really f***ed this up? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
KatZee Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 If you know you're so late please be courteous and send a text giving him a heads up. I can't stand people who feel they can waste my time being late and who then aren't considerate enough to let me know.
Author FairyDust11 Posted June 16, 2013 Author Posted June 16, 2013 I was in touch with him throughout the whole drive...updating him on where I was etc. and there was a huge diversion on the way which held us up by a further half an hour so he's aware of all that :/
shexy Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Did you guys have sex when you got there? It sounds like he was either just after sex and nothing else, or he was annoyed about your friend coming along but he didn't say so at the time. OR he was pissed you were so late. You may not have done anything to piss him off, he might have just decided he wasn't feeling it.
Author FairyDust11 Posted June 16, 2013 Author Posted June 16, 2013 No we were partying until the early hours and then just fell asleep. Then he had to be somewhere quite early so I had to leave
shexy Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 No we were partying until the early hours and then just fell asleep. Then he had to be somewhere quite early so I had to leave It could be he was pissed that after all that, he didn't get any :-\ People come up with a lot of reasons to flake, whether they seem valid or not. If he's still not responding, I would just move on.
Author FairyDust11 Posted June 16, 2013 Author Posted June 16, 2013 Yeah I did feel really bad about the whole three hours late thing, however I am usually bang on time for these kinds of things. I just can't help but feel my 'friend' is interested in him. 1. She did not want me going to see him on my own even though I had spent an entire weekend with him before that. 2. She texted him off my phone without my knowledge saying "party here, dont think im comin anymore" 3. Insisted on coming with me when I said I really wanted to see him 4. Kept answering my phone when he called before I could And now I'm even more paranoid because she has his number because I had to call him once off her phone...
KatZee Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Well if he's the kind of guy to mess with your friends and if your friend thinks its cool to go behind your back like that, then neither of these people are too worthy of you. 3

This is what I'm starting to believe. I'm probably better off without both of them 1
Cutiepie1976 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 People flake for all sorts of reasons. Don't worry about why. Just keep moving. On to the next. Oh, and you made my day BTW! I was 2 1/2 hours late for a first date once (long story with many many excuses, much embarassment, and apologies). My date was very nice, understanding, and accommodating about the whole thing, but finally mentioned that I definitely held the record on that front. Apparently not. Thank you.
