Ladies, How did your boyfriend/husband first ask you out on a date?

I'm not talking about "asking out" in the sense of "to be exclusive", i mean the first time you met and he took the chance to boldly just ask you for a date. Any cool stories? How did it happen?

My husband and I were a blind date. We set it up ourselves and we just went out for coffee the first time. We enjoyed meeting each other, so my husband graciously told me that he wanted to take me out for my birthday. It was one of the best first dates I have ever been on. Coffee was just a meet and greet.
