Hi, I need some help. This isnt exactly a relationship question, but Ive gotten a lot of help here in the past. Please let me know what you think.

We did a prank last week at work where we got a forward from a guy at an engineering company. It was a forward with sexual content (but funny). a woman was copied on the list. We sent an email to the guy from the woman (i made up a hotmail account in her name). basically the email said dont send me those kinds of forwards, i find them offensive, and if you send them again, i will take it to the bosses. Anyway, it backfired. There was apparently a lot of commotion and words exchanged, and we heard through the grapevine it was getting ugly so we called over and admitted it was us. I took the fall to hep save face for the company. Now im worried the woman might sue me for pain and suffering, or for impersonating her email, or something like that. My boss has talked to her and told her I was punished, but Im still very worried about this. My boss talked to her and she said that "it's a new day" and she felt better that I was punished, but Im afraid she might take me to court or something.

What do you think?

Just drop it. Don't ever bring it up again. If you feel you need to do something to make up for it, take her to lunch or something. Otherwise, I wouldn't bring it up ever again.

#1 Forget about it unless it's brought up

#2 No more impersonations how bout it?!

I hear you, and obviously I've learned the dangers of joking around in a PC corporate environment....but do you think this could be a criminal case? or just a lawsuit????

the woman seems ok with it anyway, or so I hope. I was punished, and she seems to not want to take it any furthur.
