Guys: Can you redevelop feelings for a girl if she becomes your friend?

Dear guys,

Lets say that you asked out a very attractive girl (everyone kept telling you that she was into you) and went on a couple of dates with her (about 5 or 6). Eventually, and somehow you lost interest in the girl and told her that you did not want a relationship with her. If you and the girl continued to talk to each other and chill as friends frequently is it possible for you to re-develop feelings for the girl and want to date her? (lets assume no sex was ever involved)

 

**I had a guy ask me out in the past. We went out a couple of times but he didn't want a relationship with me. We continued to be friends and eventually he asked me out again - we never had sex
