starlet86 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 I work with my ex, closely. I try and do no contact but we HAVE to speak at work, it is unavoidable. I also can't just cold shoulder him because our manager is a *osser who would just love that behaviour and try and cause a huge scene about us bringing our personal life in to the workplace. I am now considering leaving my job, giving up my home and leaving completely. Thing is, where I live there aren't many jobs and I love mine. I wanted to do it for years and then I finally got the opportunity and now I may have to give it up which will break my heart. As I don't have the official qualifications my work were lovely enough to take me on and pay for my training, but until I am qualified no other company will touch me. If I can't work I can't pay rent and then I am up the proverbial. Is it extreme to quit my job to be successful at NC?

In the meantime get whatever training you need going so you have the option to leave for another job should you choose to in the future.
