Had a dream about most recent ex. What does it mean?

I dreamed that he and I were living in the same house supposedly we had our own seperate rooms upstairs. But he moved downstairs at some point. I later go to the kitchen to get something and as I'm leaving the kitchen he and I pass right by each other without acknowledging the other like complete strangers and then I woke up. What does it mean? I have my own idea of what it could mean but I don't want to missinterpret it. Heres my take on it:

 

I think the dream means that maybe my subconscious mind is telling me that I have moved on from that chapter in my life and that him moving a floor below me means that I can do better and am above all the things that I went through in that relationship. Basically that I can do much better and that I deserve a lot better. What do you guys think?

Maybe he was on your mind before you fell asleep, or that day you thought of him ?

 

He's been on my mind a lot since the breakup. But this was the very first time I had a dream of him. Usually whenever I have a dream about my exes its during the end of the breakup process. I dunno why but it really helps me to move on completely. So yes I probably was thinking about him last night but most nights when I am alone I do think about him.
