elle2012 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 So, my ex broke up with me. He called me to end all. He then began to text me and he then stopped. Why do you think he texted me. He told me he was sad, he told m about a death of his pet. He shared his deep feelings with me after I had urged him we should take our own paths cause I was heart broken and needed my space so I could deal with our split. I am just confused to why he would want to keep me updated on his life but then ignore my attempt to console him. I try to be amicable and respond to his text because I don't want to seem rude and ignore him. I know I asked for space but it was for my sanity. I just wonder why he starts conversations but ends them once I respond. Should I not respond next time?
Giha Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 You should not have responded in the first place. Stop all communications with him. The moment he broke up with you he gave up the right to rely on you for comfort. His problems are his and not yours and you should not be available to him anymore. I also find it rude that he didn't respect your need to be alone and heal. Cut all contact. Immediately. Don't tell him you are doing it, just disappear and don't respond to him or answer his calls again. It's for you own good, and it's not rude of you to do it. 1
