First fight

Lets call this guy K. So me and K have been talking for 2 months now and he has made it clear he wants to spend quality time with me and potentially have a long term relationship with me. Nobody knows about our relationship yet because of the circumstances we have in life right now. My friend lets call her A, met K and was instantly smitten. She asked me for his number and i gave it to her because K said he can handle himself and he will deal with it. I expected him to shut her down or at least let her know hes not interested. But he didn't, instead he kept the conversation going with her. So i called K saying im not comfortable about him talking to A because she obviously likes him and is going after him. He said sorry and said hes going to end it as soon as possible. The next day he still hasnt dealt with it yet so i told him that i will only be at peace once hes done dealing with the whole situation with A.

Today i was venting to my friend and asking for advice because i didnt know what to do. Accidentally i sent the message that was supposed to be for my friend, to K. And at the end of the message i said that K is dumb. (i think thats the dumbest thing i have ever done in my life)

So i confessed to K told him everything that happened and said my apology. It was not intentional and only said that out of frustration.

 

We talked about the matter and after awhile i asked him "can we talk about you and i because I'm so confused. Your actions dont match your words" ad he only replied with "ok?" ....i got the message that maybe hes so annoyed so i stopped replying and never said anything again. So far its only been a day we havent talked.

 

My question is, should i just give him time to cool off and think thing through? How many days should i give him?

K sounds like a real jerk. He wants not one girl, but all the girls. Obviously he isn't looking for a LTR if he's messing around with you and A.
