Tony Little Gazelle Glider....dilema

So where I work I'm always being *given* things (no not THAT kind).......but *stuff* people don't want.

 

Beginning of this week one of the customers gave me a Tony LIttle Gazelle Glider because she didn't have room for it and was leaving to the mainland next week. Asked if I wanted it, and of course I did, since those buggas cost of $200.00 to buy, she was going to throw it out or give it to donation otherwise.

 

So I was estatic, my friend and I are trying to build our home gym, we have an ellipical, a recumbant bike, an ab-roller, The FIRM videos, Norditrack and now this one, it's coming along nicely.

 

My problem is this - I get a call yesterday from this lady who gave me the Gazelle, she mentions that she *changed her mind* and is not leaving now, she's going to stay on the island. She hasn't mentioned whether or not she wants the machine back and she's already thrown out tons of things, and given other stuff to donation. As a person with scruples, should I even mention this to her and ask her if she wants it back? what if she does, should I ask to buy it from her? Or is a gift a gift and I should just shut up.

 

It's kinda bothering me what the *right* thing to do would be. What would you do?

If she didn't mention the machine and had planned an basically throwing it away if you hadn't wanted it.. then chalk it up to she called just to let you know she was going to be around, and let it go at that.
