So, last night was Date #2 with my new guy :D

He's been initiating contact with me ever since the night I met him, we originally had first date plans for a week after he asked me out, but he wound up asking me out 4 days earlier.

He asked me to hang out again, but I turned him down since it was a weeknight and I was pretty tired, but we made plans for the next night, which was yesterday.

He seems really cool and genuine to hang out with. He doesn't act like my ex at all. He doesn't act cocky, or pompous, or arrogant. He comes off extremely real and like a good guy.

After our first date he didn't even try to kiss me, which kind of threw me off since he had been the one to initiate contact, and who was asking me out. But he went for it last night! :D:D

So he drops me back home after a great night, we kiss for a little bit, and then I go up to my apartment. Sure enough, he follows up like 5 minutes after dropping me off, joking around (we have like 3-4 inside jokes already!) and we're talking, and then he goes: "Pretty random question" and I was like OK... and he says: "Are you interested in me or do you just want to be friends? You're really cool, just not sure which way you might be leaning."

And all this time I WAS the one freaking out that he wasn't into me! I guess I have a bit of a guard up because of past experience, and I just wanted to go slow and get to know him. And so I told him as much (not about my ex, but just about wanting to get a feel for him before I jump straight into something).

And he says: "I totally understand :) I didn't want to ask too serious of a question but just wanted to have an idea."

So I'm getting good vibes from this guy! He's totally cool with just going with it, going slow and not jumping the gun, just enjoying each other's company.

Kind of excited!
