Scarface11208 Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Men: If you had a choice to make, which would you prefer to be... rich but lazy, or poor but ambitious? Women: What type of man would you prefer out of the two? Discuss your answers.
dyermaker Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 I'd rather be rich but lazy. I'm halfway there already. Ambition is worthless if it amounts to nothing, why be damned to pursue the unobtainable?
Pookette Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Women: What type of man would you prefer out of the two? Money is not an issue for me. I prefer ambitious. Discuss your answers, hmmm? Money can be obtained. I will inherit quite a bit actually. Ambition is something you either have, or you don't. My husband is a hard worker and quite ambitious. I've had the lazy variety and I find that I enjoy when someone is able to take care of ME.
Author Scarface11208 Posted October 8, 2004 Author Posted October 8, 2004 Let's assume that success is attainable in this case, but with a slow progression of time. Basically, I'm trying to determine if some women would prefer to stay with a man through the rough times, or if she would stay by his side only if he was already made and successful.
dyermaker Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Oh. I revise my answer to the more noble one.
crazycatwoman Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 well being a woman, i would pick poor but ambitious i say this because would would want to date a man that had everything but was lazy ...... what kind of fate would that be. And if i had a poor man who was ambitious , well im ambitious so one way or another we would end up rich anyways......... and i would be with someone who was of better charactor
Papillon Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Aaww...this thread just isn't "Loveshack" at all. It should be, "Rich man with small penis, or poor man with big penis?"
Pookette Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Basically, I'm trying to determine if some women would prefer to stay with a man through the rough times, or if she would stay by his side only if he was already made and successful. Honestly, it's the hard times you go through with someone that add depth and meaning to a relationship. Knowing that just around the corner are better times can make a world of difference. You can look back upon your experiences and have a closer bond. Some people can tolerate shallow relationships like the latter, but there's nothing there. Sure there's money and money can buy happiness, to a certain extent, but when the money's gone and two people have to face each other without that crutch, what do you have? Nada.
CurlyIam Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Money comes and goes, my friend. And when they vanish,it'a usually when you have at least 2 kis with the sucker, huge debt and a certain inability to change a lifestyle. I would kick a man's *utt if he were lazy. Rich or poor! He must be a provider, HIM, not mommy and daddy! I sure work my eyes out and I don't expect anything less near me in life!
Adunaphel Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 I don't think I'd like to be with a poor and ambitious man. I have an idea that many of them once they have achieved success will dump the woman they are with because they think that now that they are rich and successful they can afford to 'upgrade' their partner as well. I saw that happen. No matter how much their partners supported them while they were striving to become successful. So I'll pick the rich but lazy. Well, basically I'd pick a man who does not have 'becoming rich and successful'as the only goal in life. No matter what his income is as long as he likes what he does. Basically, I'm trying to determine if some women would prefer to stay with a man through the rough times, or if she would stay by his side only if he was already made and successful. In this case, my choice would absolutely be the former.
CurlyIam Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 You are forgetting that life near a rich man ain't that easy either. He can also change you for a hotter babe as something tells me that he won't be lacking offers !

CurlyIam Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Not being able to pay the bills is a dealbreaker to me. Damn, the world is to small and life is too short not to want more. As a matter of fact, it's not the money, but the will to do more, to see more, to go further, that's what's a turn on for me.
honey2005 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 It should be, "Rich man with small penis, or poor man with big penis?" I'll go with poor but ambitious. I don't think I could stand having a lazy husband.
Karlise13 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Poor with big penis.....LOL Because I make my OWN damn money!!!!
