thr1986 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I've been out with a girl that I feel very compatible with 3 times. Once for a drink, when we first met, and then dinner twice after that. We text every couple days, normally upon me initiating a conversation. I think she likes me but seems shy or perhaps she doesn't think I like her. We met on match.com. I need another date idea. Can anyone help? I was thinking maybe one of those places where you paint and drink wine with an instructors help. I thought this may be more along the lines of a date for an established couple though and may be boring for her... Help!!
the_entertainer1 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 How old are you guys? Might help in suggesting appropriate dates... Dates where you can spend time together and make memories are the best. Things like going for a drive, to the movies/theatre, to see a band, ice-skating, bowling, amusement park etc, can all be fun apart from the usual coffee/dinner/drinks/dessert. I don't mind your idea, but you're right in saying that it would be more appropriate for an 'established' couple. Just my advice, from the perspective of a 24 year old "girl". Also, don't get worried if you're initiating all the texts. All the magazines say that we should allow a guy to do that so we know if he's really interested or not!
Author thr1986 Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 Thanks for your advice. She ways responds when I text her and the couple dates we have had have been great. I know she must like me. I'm 26 a d she is 27, so mid to late twenties. I can be very romantic when I'm in a relationship, but this is the time where I lack the creativity haha. Any suggestions? It needs to be something that just the two of us will do together, I don't want to invite her out with a bunch of people.
MsSmurf Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Ok so you're both in your mid 20s which definitely broadens your date options. I'm not sure what you both are into but here are some ideas: Bowling Mini golf (or real golf if you prefer) Hiking/nature walking Live music/open mic (many venues offer shows that are free or low cost) Comedy club Picnic Art gallery Museum Stuff at a nearby University (often plays, concerts, movie nights, etc are open to the public and inexpensive) Minor league sports (much cheaper than major league) Drive in's (yes I know you can't talk during the movie, but this is old school and tons of fun with someone you've seen a few times. You can talk during intermission) Indoor rock climbing Pool/darts

Go to an interactive class, like painting or sculpting. Do a tough mudder race together. Something where there's a lot of action instead of sitting across from each other.
