atty Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Hello All, Just wanted some opinions on this. My ex wont talk to me (we all know how that is). However, lately I haven't really cared. Anyways, I caught her red handed driving by my house twice (it must be embarrassing for her). Each time I was in my car and was going to head in the direction she was going. However, I went the opposite direction and did nothing (as if there is something to do). I was wondering why folks do the "drive by", especially when she dumped me and for a month refused my pleas (yeah I got a little pathetic)? Any thoughts or is she just weird? Thanks in advance!

And we are stubborn so we wont go back out w/ them.....so its not that she doesn't like you anymore its just that we love when guys come back and beg. But she still cares for you. Plus even if she dumped you..sh doesn't want to see you with anyone else. Its just a rule. So she drives by to see if there's a girl at your house or to see what's going on there. Take it as a good sign. If i was a bad break-up. Make sure a girl is at your house. Make her come beg for you How long were you guys together and how long ago did you break up?
atty Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Thanx for the input Lexnmike4e Yep, it was a very hasty and prolonged breakup. We are both stubborn and neither would back down. That is, we started out fighting over little things and it escalated. We dated for about 16 months and lived together about 9 months. I begged and would get upset when she refused my advances. However, I did let her know right before the "end" that I wasnt waiting around for her and was going to worry about me...I mean am I supposed to sit around and wait for her. She didnt like that and the next day we got into big fight. (She went to my hangout with another guy and made sure I knew about it). We broke up last weekend of August but it took nearly a month to end it "officially." Even though she is quite a spectacular creature, I am not sure if I want to reconcile anyways, but I was wondering why people do that. But I will admit, I laughed my but off!

In other words, loving concern about her safety & well-being. In your case though, I concur with the other posts. She wants to see what you're up to.

Lainie Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Hi Atty, I think it's curiousity that urges people to check up on their ex's. It's a need to still feel connected, in some strange way. I know it may seem weird to you, but some people do that. It could be a number of different things too. But i mainly think it's curiosity, unless there are some psychological problems. Take care and try not to read too heavily into it, unless it keeps happening.

HeHe, it must be killing her that she was caught! Morbid curiousity? The same thing that happens when you encounter a bloody traffic accident with fatalities. The sight is horrible, ghastly, yet somehow you MUST look at the crushed, dismembered & decapitated victims as you drive by. Seriously, though. She's curious as to what you're doing. If she were to drive by at the very moment that you're stepping out for the evening with a beautiful woman on your arm, imagine how she would eat her liver over that!
