We share a bed so when he gets in bed right when the sun is coming up I have a hard time falling back asleep. Before sleeping, it also is bothersome not knowing what he's up to, and that he's going to wake me up in a couple hours. He doesn't get in bed until 5 am.

Also, we've been together 3 years. I'm 21, he's 34.

I think it's loserish of him to spend half or more of his waking hours playing poker, when all in all he loses as much as he wins. Sure he enjoys it, but it seems unhealthy and a waste of time.

I got D's and C's last semester because of him doing this. He agreed to come home at 5 only one day a week and come home by 3 the rest of the days, but even that seems like too much. I just want a boyfriend who goes to bed at a reasonable hour, say by 2:30, so my sleep isn't disrupted.

What do you think?

You got Ds and Cs because you allowed yourself to be caught in a situation by dating an addict.

It is loserish, you are right. Dump him and get a better quality guy. Unless you want to spend your life in endless counselling sessions of course.

I think you need to look in the mirror and ask yourself why you

are in the relationship. Why?

And I'm going to assume that finances are not completely transparent between you two. Please do not be so quick to assume or believe that he actually wins as much as he loses. Do you really know how much money he is throwing down the drain?

You're too young to get yourself recruited into this world. Move on an give yourself a better start in life. Gambling is a nasty, nasty addiction.

Does he have a job? I'd die if I spent all night at the casino and had to work the next (well same!) day. He's definitely an addict. Every night?? If it were me I'd put down an ultimatum. The relationship, or the gambling.

We've probably seen the last of the OP.

You got D's and C's because you did D and C work, that's on you.
