Hello LS, hope you are doing better than I am. I'm looking for a proper guidance towards what i should do and I hope i get the answer im looking for.

So a couple of months ago I was going through a break up and the coping part was not going well for me at all. Furthermore, i was told to make new friends and talk to new people to get over this slump which i did. I met this awesome girl who over time became close to me as in we would talk regularly. I'm not going to lie, i started liking this girl not because of a rebound purpose, but for her personality. Ofcourse i did not tell her i was going through a break up and kept my poker face alive.

Fast-forward to the present, we went out last night to a famous eating market where i live. We did have a good time until she broke apart and told me about her break up. Apparently when I was going through my break up, she was too with her ex BF. Funny how two people can keep their poker face for so long.. huh? Yeah it got to me tho, she was teary, was sad and I honestly couldn't stand her like that... it made me sad. After last night I realized we are both in a un stable position for anything to happen. Shes a bit more emotional than me, but I still can relate to everything she told me. She said that she trust me, she never told anyone about this and I get that.

I get how friend ship works, but I have to ask you guys this: Should I be there for her as a friend, or spark up something and ask her out? Yes I have feeling for her, but if she dosent have them back.. I still want her to get through this.:(

i think she is not emotionally ready for romance but needs someone to take her mind off her ex

I have 2 conflicting pieces of advice for you:

1.) Don't settle for friends if you really like this girl

2.) Sounds like she is on the rebound so romance seems likely to crash and burn
