lucifer Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 This is a very difficult situation for me. I really don't know what to do, so I hope to seek some advice, thanks. I've known this friend of mine for 5 years already, and although we were not best friends, we did talk on the phone for hours in the past and hang out sometimes. At least to me he's a good listener and good advisor. All these years we've known each other he has a gf and I had a bf. Although we flirt a lot, it's never gotten to a point that we would do anything physical. Anyway, these half year we both became single and things start to change. We've always been good friends and we know that it won't turn into a relationship even though we may be attracted to each other. However, last night when I visited him, we ended up in bed. I don't recall how it started but we just did. I have to admit that I do have feelings for him all these years, but I know we won't work out. I don't know what to do, I don't want to ruin this friendship but can people still stay friends after they become intimate? Has anybody had that experience before where you get intimate with a friend of yours? I don't know what to do, I don't know how I am supposed to face him.

Further, we know each other long enough to probably realize that we are not very compatible.......Perhaps I am just afraid of facing him, I try to act normal but it seem difficult, I"m afraid to lose him as a friend as well..
Papillon Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 I also think you should discuss it with him. If you just back off, then the friendship IS going to get hurt. Hell, if you can be friends, you can be friends with benefits.
