The story of how I went from friends to something more is found in this thread: http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t43624/ So today I asked her if she wanted to go to dinner with me and see a movie this weekend. She was interested so we have plans for this weekend. Of course, neither of us have any idea what movies are playing, so we left the night open to the idea of something other than a movie in case we can't find something we like... So does anybody want to give me a couple fun suggestions besides a movie? Aside from the obvious traditional boring places to take a girl, I could really use some good new suggestions that I haven't thought of. I'd like to take her someplace where we could get a little silly and crazy and have a lot of fun, or at least give her the option so she could choose what she'd rather do. kellyp1 Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Depends on where you live. I am in So Cal so we have playoff baseball right now. Other fun things - Halloween themed places. Here we have Knott's Scary Farm, Disneyland and Magic Mountain are haunted, as is Movieland Wax Museum. Comedy clubs can be a fun place for a date, piano bars, there are lots of fun things out there beyond the norm. Check http://www.digitalcity.com and look for your city. I have found some great ideas there of things going on.

Around here, for evening , we have places where you can dance, a quiet club with pool tables and dart boards, dinner, plays, concerts, dance performances, lectures, late nights at various museums, coffeehouse, bookstores, art galleries. For day, hiking, the coast/beachcombing, drives, picnics, birdwatching, windown shopping, festivals, garden tours, vintage railroad rides, car shows... What do you like to do?
Author Temujen Posted October 6, 2004 Author Posted October 6, 2004 Well, I live in NJ and we both go to school in the Newark/South Orange area. We are also close to the NJ shore scene and NYC too. I'm not sure I want to do the movie idea we talked about, I'd rather take her to dinner then go do something active or something where we can talk and socialize and have a few laughs. I'm pretty much game for anything, so is she, so naturally I'd like to come up with new ideas rather than go do the same crap with this girl that I used to do with my ex...out with the old ideas in with new ones! I'm diggin the halloween theme idea...
