It's not loosing a person, it's the thought of having to get to know another just to probably loose them too. :(

What I mind at this age and stage isn't being rejected or having to reject. What I do mind is the fact that rejections means I still have to look. I am just really tired of looking. Seeming to find a keeper. Then getting to know them and their friends and their family and vice versa. Only to then loose them...and all that attach to them... and then start over again with a new person.

For a while the whole "dating and getting to know people" thing is fun. However like even a favorite game it eventaully gets old.

I completely agree with this. It is so hard to date somebody new because part of you is thinking about whether it is worth the time investment.

It hurts even more because other people seem to just make it happen. They find the right one without much hassle, and then here I am having to go through several relationships and they just never seem to work out.

I try to remember what my friend said about this though. She said that you won't ever know you're in the right relationship. She also said that all relationships end until one doesn't. You won't ever know which one it is so you should treat each one as if it is "the one".

I know that doesn't really help while you are still looking, but it might give you a brighter outlook in your searches.

Good luck with finding the right one! :)
