AL4L Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 About a month ago I met a girl online. We emailed back and forth for a while and met for the first time about 2.5 weeks ago, since then, despite both of us be out of town a lot at different times, we have gone on about 5 dates. 3 of those 5 dates all happened earlier this week. This week things between seem to have picked up. We had our first kiss and have become more and more affectionate towards each other - lots of cuddling, hand holding, burying her face in my arms...we even spent the night together, but didn't have sex or anything. She truly does seem to like me, and I really like her a lot. This may be stupid, but I've even taken down my online profile and cancelled plans I had to meet others because I desperately want things to work with girl and I want to put all of my effort into her. But, here is my one concern. I realized that she's never texted or called me, without me doing so first. When I do, things go well. She doesn't seem to be annoyed and asks question that keep the conversation going, but she's never texted me out of the blue. Plenty of the other signs that she likes me are there; she asked me to stay the night with her, she smiles a lot for no reason when we are together, is affectionate towards me...plus other things. But this seems like a basic thing that is missing. I really like this girl. I've been in my share of serious relationships before but I've never felt this way about anyone in the past. Is this something I should worry about?
clia Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 You mean in the entire one month that you've known her she's never texted you out of the blue? Gasp! No, you have nothing to worry about. As long as she is returning your calls and saying "yes" when you ask her out on dates, you are fine. Maybe she just doesn't like texting. 1
umirano Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Wow, that's a deal-breaker if I ever saw one. Lol, chill dude. OP, I guess the two of you being in full honey moon mode you barely are out of contact with her for more than an hour? Maybe give her a little space and see what happens. I don't think you have reason to be concerned. The face to face contact seems pretty good.
