evergreatful Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Mike, At 5'5'' with an average build, it would be fine to be 130 lbs. You'll be on the skinny side but there is nothing unsafe about it. But, I don't know your build so it's tough to speculate. Can I ask why you want to loose 20 pounds? I am 5'7'' average build, around 150 lbs. and I am pretty skinny. So just keep in mind even at 5'5'' for a male 130 will be on the skinny side. Maybe you just just try wieght training to tone your musslces.

Ms_Sweetness Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 I agree, being 5ft5in and 130 for a males is rather thin. I am a 5ft 3in female who weighs 130-135, and I'm not skinny but I am "pettite". So are you sure you want to go down to 130?
jesusfist Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Dood!, stuff losing weight just do a clean bulk up. Eat plenty of healthy food and lift heavy weights (6-8reps and 3-4 sets) that way your bodyfat % will decrease alittle but you'll have more muscle. If that doesnt make sense, you'll be chunky and ripped with muscle definition and weigh about the same. If your going for "the good looks" 6 pack etc i think you might want to look into bodybuilding, not as a sport but training/eating practices, a good source is: http://www.bodybuilding.com/ and http://www.discussfitness.com/
