Whoa, the legal drinking age is 21 in the USA? But... legal sex is 18, and DRIVING is 16!? :confused: So very odd.

 

Anyway, as SD takes classes with her and presumably has mutual acquaintances with her, wouldn't her age be reasonably well known amongst her peers? Sure, it's not a failsafe method, but HIV has a chance of being transmitted through condoms too, so... depends on how averse to risk-taking you are, I guess. :o

Be careful buying her wine since she's underage; if she gets into a car accident after you've provided wine you could find yourself in a big mess.

Yup, she knows how old I am, that I'm not working, finishing my degree and so on.

 

The only time she may be driving is at the end of the night after we've come back from the club. And there is no way I'm going to offer her a drink before she drives home. I wouldn't do that to anybody of any age.

 

In other words, if she's drinking after we get back, she's staying the night.

I don't understand why you think it's so crazy. You're 32 and she's not even 21. If she's underage, that would mean she's lied to you? You think females don't lie about their age? Especially when they're underage and interested in a guy at least 12 years older than her?

I didn't tell her my age till our first date. I've known she was 20 since near the beginning of class.

 

If she were lying, it would also mean that she was lying about it being her second year at Cal State, that she hadn't been with her ex since she was for three years, since she 17, that she isn't done with her prerequisites and waiting to go get accepted into the nursing program and so on.

 

Thank you for looking out, but I have no reason at all to doubt anything she has said to me.

That right there is my definition of insanity. You're allowed to pilot a 2 ton missile on your own that can easily kill a lot of people, yet you can't make a decision on your own body!

People at 20 are already war veterans with triple amputations! If you're still paranoid maybe say something along the lines of: "Can I take a look at your drivers licence? She has mentioned before that when she was with her ex, her parents wanted her back home by 12.

 

I don't know if that rule is still in effect.

 

So I wouldn't be surprised if that when we get back from the club, she tells me that she has to drive home.

Yes and no.

 

The drinking age in all U.S. states changed from 18 to 21 during the 1980s after a federal law was passed that would withhold 10% of a state's federal highway funding if it kept its drinking age at 18. Technically, any state could change its minimum drinking age to whatever it wants, but there is of course a strong incentive to follow suit. Furthermore, most state laws restrict the purchasing and distribution of alcohol, not necessarily its consumption.

Women are the same but they just have a few (very few) social/cultural/biological barriers few men figure out!

If you work her up and the let her down, not in the bed mind you, but by not sealing the deal, you risk her rapidly losing attraction. All you need is an excuse for her to come inside, that will make her feel confident, comfortable and come on in.

 

And remember. You ARE a bad boy right now :). Your THIRTY-FRIGGIN-TWO WITH NO JOB AND YOU GOT A 20 YEAR OLD CHOMPING AT THE BIT. She has told her friends that she is dating an "older man." An older man WITH NO JOB! Don't go all goody-two-shoes, what you have been so far is a "little bit bad" which is what women like. Are you telling me I wasn't on a college campus at 17 with my friends? They weren't AP classes. They were college courses, on campus, at the local JC. We were able to have two periods off from school to attend the JC. And three of my friends didn't turn 18 until well into their freshman year of college.

 

This practice is incredibly common in California, where SD lives.

 

But hey! If he wants to risk having to register as a sex offender, by all means, don't verify her age!

 

17 is legal in some states.

Tomorrow.

 

I've been spending the past couple of days cleaning my place since she's coming here first.

 

The plan is to go to the market to buy ingredients, cook and eat dinner at my place. Then head off to the salsa club.

 

After that, who knows.

Oh yes, the pre-date cleaning frenzy. Every time I experience that, I think, "Man, I gotta do a better job of keeping this place date-ready." :laugh:

 

Make sure you have clean sheets and a pristine bathroom. Take any awkward stuff out of your medicine cabinet too.
