I have been looking for a relationship for a long time now, and I think I might just quit trying and see if I have better luck. They do say stop looking for it and it will find you, I wonder if this will happen to me.

I know it might sound dumb, but I feel like if I quit trying so hard to find someone, that I might actually find someone.

What do yall think, stupid idea?

A lot of people seem to find love just when they finally learn to be happy being single and pursue their own passions. That is where the "stop looking for love and it will find you" advice comes from I think.

I think you need to put yourself out there and make an effort if you want to find someone. You just shouldn't become obsessed with finding someone to date or stress over being single. Enjoy the single life while you still can.

Good advice from the both of you! I think another problem I'm having is that I am in a brand new city/state, know few people, and am mainly looking for someone to hang out with, and if I get a relationship out of it, great.

Before I relocated I was totally content being single, although I did date some, but ever since I moved I have felt this CRAZY STRONG urge to find a relationship. It could be a case of lonliness I suppose!
