jakelongot Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 WOuld you consider getting a sex change if you knew it was going to improve your dating life? Would you give up the sex you were born with if you knew it would get you as much sex or the relationship you wanted as the opposite sex? I saw this posted somewhere else, but I thought I would bring it here. I'm not sure I could give up my maleness even if meant I would be extremely successful as a woman.
CherryT Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Uhm... no. I have friends who are transgender. They don't feel comfortable being the sex they were born as. It's not a choice and they feel it all their being. To change that just to have as much sex as you want is very... what the word. Crazy? I would think getting checked for sex addiction first before changing your sex. 1
CarrieT Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I actually know TWO people that did that... Did you read that? Not just one person, but two people in my life changed their sex because they thought it would improve their dating life. Do you realize how screwed up that is? One was a lesbian woman who became a man and the other was a man who became a lesbian woman. In both cases, my friends deeply, deeply regret their decisions and both are completely alone in their sex-changed lives... 6

It's screwed up and I feel sad for your two friends...

I actually thought ---another troll post --- I didn't imagine that actually someone would do such a thing... changing your sex because you are not comfortable with your own body and you think nature made a mistake with your is one thing but changing sex to up your dating chances is just WOW! 1
sillyanswer Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Nobody is coming near my privates with a scalpel unless my life is in danger and they're going to save it. 1
SaintNick Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I honestly cannot beleive this question is even posed in this forum!
Woggle Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 The only thing it might do is give people more empathy for the opposite sex if they could do it for a week.

Yeah, when I read about this kind of thing happening I was a little shocked myself. Thought I would pose it here. I think everyone is curious about "a day in the life" kind of thing or wonders what it would be like on the other side, but the emotional and psychological process to get there is pretty extreme.
Mrlonelyone Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 1.) NO! 2.) I am a bigendered bisexual person*. Often in casual clothes I look female almost as often I look male. It depends more on the looker than whose being looked at (me). 3.) I have at times thought along the lines of ..... In my female guise people are less uptight about me being bisexual. However the idea of a bisexual male repulses many, it does. SoOoo perhaps I could just live more female and that would make it easier for people to process. Then I remember that bisexuals are seen as sex toys by people gay and straight alike. Good for a eff but not for a Rlship, regardless of gender. *My American Indian heritage provides a good word for it two-spirit I feel to some non-trivial degree both male and female.
Mrlonelyone Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Are you a she male? Breasts + penis? Me? A bigger *enis than 90% of he men yes. Breast, not really. What stands me out is my really androgynous body. By the by Shemale is considered offensive.

How could it be the relationship you want? That doesn't even compute.
Mme. Chaucer Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I'm married, but I'm getting one so my husband and I can become a gay couple. Just for a change of pace. Hey! I wonder if I really did that, would it render our marriage invalid? Because no more "one man, one woman" thing?

May be a way round for the gays who want to marry! Copyright this idea- stat!

Copyright this idea- stat! Or, what if a person disguises themselves as a member of the opposite sex, and gets legally married to someone of their own actual sex? Using their legal name on the license? So they're married. Right?
Pyro Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I honestly cannot beleive this question is even posed in this forum! Not the first time. We had this kid (18-19) last year on here who considered it and for starters wanted to go out in public dressed as a woman to 'prove' that women have it easier.
AlexDP Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Or, what if a person disguises themselves as a member of the opposite sex, and gets legally married to someone of their own actual sex? Using their legal name on the license? So they're married. Right? I'm 100% sure there is going to be case law on that. You might not think that, but I've seen case law on much crazier things. Obviously it will depend on the state, but disguising yourself as something you're not so you can get married will most likely not be tolerated by the law.

Using their legal name on the license? So they're married. Right? Loopholes all round! Lets start a business. I got the Australian market covered. They'll love it here, given it doesn't look like we'll get same sex marriage approved for the next 257,000 years.
