MomsSpaghetti Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 So I thought I had kind of a flirty thing going with this girl at college. She was 1 year below me and actually 3 semesters behind me since I graduated 1 semester early, last Christmas Break. We were in the same circle of friends and I saw her maybe once every week or two. I always thought I was getting good vibes from her, and so did my friends who always were kind of pushing me to make a move on her. When I graduated, I announced the fact on Facebook. A couple hours later, I signed back in to Facebook and noticed that her profile was deactivated, as it still is. She was a pretty social person in real life and fairly active on Facebook, so the fact that she would disappear from the Facebook world for 1/2 a year seems uncharacteristic. She didn't block me; blocking someone automatically defriends them and then makes you completely invisible to them on the Facebook world; if I scroll through my friends list, I see her blank profile that says "This account has been deactivated" if I click on it. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't secretly hoping to see her and flirt a bit when I went back to the area to hang out with my friends recently. I did see her, but I didn't get much eye contact or acknowledgement when I tried to engage her in a conversation that ended up being very brief. I honestly don't have any fantasies of dating her some day, but it's just one of those things where I liked the idea of having someone who seemed to like me and was receptive to my flirting and occasionally drunk-texted me. Yeah, it's pathetic of me . Maybe some of you can relate? Any ideas what's going on? Just a coincidence that her disappearance from the Facebook world coincided with me leaving school?
