What methods do you use to keep texting conversations going

We've all texted people who reply with short texts "I'm good." or "Wow thats cool!" but never give anything for you to work with to help move the conversation going. So what methods have you used to have them open up. This of course omits the "they aren't interested" answer. Just in general.

 

I normally don't respond until they ask a follow up question. Your thoughts?

Send her a text every 2 minutes and 38 seconds, on the dot, just asking about her day and what is the color of her panties at the present time. Surely you will get a response at some point. Albeit, not the one you are looking for.

 

 

All joking aside, if they are not interested, than they are not interested.... move on. If I'm in to a girl a text a little at first, and then call her. Phone conversations generally spark real conversations that could last hours and cause a connection. Texting is so impersonal and is easy to avoid.
