Does anyone else think the whole "BS/WH/WW/XX" thing is kind of odd?

Gonna be That Guy for a minute.

 

I dunno, maybe it's because I don't know what the abbreviations mean. What's the obsession with having an abbreviation for terms like "Betrayed Spouse" around here? Is there something wrong with just saying "I was cheated on", or "my husband was unfaithful?"

 

Also, what do all these abbreviations mean? Is this something that's prevalent across the internet, because I've never seen it anywhere but here.
