Kristopher1 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I've been feeling like crap the last two days, as in I can't stop thinking about her.. Is there some sort of loneliness peak around 2-3 weeks of NC that kicks in? Hate feeling the way I am at the moment.. Meh..
amy10 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 hate to tell you but this is how you will feel for a wee bit longer . who broke up with who? just keep in mind once your up to a month of NC it starts to feel slightly better. just get out and do things to keep your mind occupied. you'll soon be feeling like you again.
TaraMaiden Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Yup. You've hit 'the wall'. It's common. I find it happens between 6 - 8 weeks, but it depends on the person.... You know... If you were into three crack cocaine hits /week, you're going to be more dependent on that than someone who, say, had a line of heroin once a fortnight.... Cold turkey. Withdrawal symptoms. I fully recognise they really, really suck. You have to go through it Kris...... Can't go round it. And going back and getting a quick fix is out of the question. Right.....? 2
Author Kristopher1 Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 Correct! You've helped me a great deal Tara, I appreciate it. I've done all I can now, even if I feel like crap I won't look back. It's in her court to realize whether or not she's made a mistake, otherwise I'm moving forward ! 1
BustedUpInside Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Think of it like a roller coaster. A really crappy one that doesn't have any highs and they are all just lows. At first. Then it slowly starts to have plateaus and lows, then plateaus, then plateaus and little highs. There will still be the occasional dip, but I promise that they won't be as epic as they are now. In a few weeks you will look back on this low and be surprised that you felt so bad. In a few months you will look back on this whole period and you won't even to be able to remember individual days where you were sad. It will just be a general memory of a sad time. This low is totally normal, and you are still progressing and doing well. Just keep your head up and know that you will get better! 1
michaelbluth Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 The feelings come in waves for me. I am in week 11 since breaking up and I have a few days of feeling good and then days of feeling just miserable. Even on my good days, I wake up and feel terrible. I even shed a tear or two some mornings because I have to see her everyday. Hang in there. I am.
