I just asked a woman I know to do something over voice mail. Is this really considered that bad? I'm sure she's busy and I don't have the time to play phone tag all day with her. Reading around online it seems to be looked at as lame, but it's still my voice calling and asking her out the same if she had picked up the phone. Oh, well.:lmao:

I haven't heard back and she's usually pretty prompt with getting back to me. She also should know that I'm a total cement head when it comes to this stuff. I'm like an old dirt road, the ride will be a bit bumpy but I'll get you where you need to go.

A lot of relevant details left out. Prior history? So have you met this girl yet? What voicemail did you leave?

If you left a calm collected voicemail and she was interested before then you're probably fine. I don't think women are that twitchy [laughs]. If your voicemail was that much a stuttering mess, you can always try again in a few days. If she doesn't want to see you due to a lame first date or something going on in her life then hardly anything would work.

I've known her for years. She's just a friend that I would like to get to know better on a more personal level, it doesn't even have to be romantic, I'm just curious. I asked her to a ball game. I was a little clunky but to the point.

The only way I could imagine it being awkward is if she didn't want to hang out with you in the first place then. This aint the Voicemail Olympics.
