Aicha Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 how can i get my bf to think about marriage with me? we have been together for a year. how can i get him to want to keep me forever? i wont be seeing him for 2 months. so i really want to keep him thinking of me in the meanwhile as well as in future. he tells me about his plans to have children and move to west london-which is not far for me to relocate. any advice from men would be great
MalachiX Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 There's nothing you can do. Getting engaged after one year seems a little fast to me but that's just me. Don't think about this as landing a husband but just see how the relationship progress. If you feel like things are at a stand still then start bringing up the question of where he sees the relationship going. You can't "make" someone want to marry you. You can only see how they feel and tell them how you feel.
MrRightNow Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Trust me, the last thing you want to do is pressure him to marry you. He might end up feeling overwhelmed and trapped. Just be the best girlfriend you can be (drama-free, nurturing, understanding) for now and hope he eventually starts seeing you as a potential wife. One year isn't long enough to decide, in my opinion. 2
noneive Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Advice from a woman. It will happen naturally. Be yourself because when you're married and things get tough, you are going to be the worst version of yourself and you don't want him to run because he's never seen it before! If he truly loves you, he will think of you constantly during those 2 months. If it dies off, that tells you you probably need to move on or have a serious talk. Love takes work, but it shouldn't require manipulation or deception. Be yourself and you two will decide if marriage is right later on. 1
