Well, I keep coming across more songs...

Blu Cantrell - Hit em up

Destinys Child - Say My Name

Olivia - Bizounce

Here are lyrics to Hit em Up...

While he was scheming

I was beamin' in the beamer just beamin'

can't believe that I caught my man cheating

so I found another way to make him pay for it all

So I went to Neiman-Marcus on a shopping spree-ah

And on the way I grabbed Soley and Mia

And as the cash box rang

I thought everything away

(Oops)

There goes the dreams we used to say(oops)

There goes the time we spented away(oops)

there goes the love we had

but you cheated on me and that's for that now(oops)

there goes the house we made a home(oops)

There goes you'll never leave me alone(oops)

for all the lies you told this is what you owe

Hey Ladies, when your man wanna get buck wild

just go back and hit 'em up style

put your hands on his cash and

spend it to the last dime

for all the hard times

Oh when your cold and everything goes

from the crib, to the ride and the clothes

so you better let him know thatif you mess up

you gotta hit 'em up

While he was braggin

I was comin' down the hill uh just-a draggin'

all of his pictures and his clothes in the baggin

I sold eveything else til there was just nothing left

and I paid all the bills about a month too late

It's a shame we have to play these games

the love we had just faded away

All of the dreams you sold

Left me out in the cold

What happened to the days when

We used to trust each other

And all of the things I sold

Will take you until you get old

To get 'em back without me'

Cuz it might be better then money or sex

I love this song...

(I see it as a pick me up inspiring/empowering kinda song)

"Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood.

Right now he's probably slow dancing with a bleached-blond tramp,

and she's probably getting frisky...

right now, he's probably buying her some fruity little drink

'cause she can't shoot whiskey...

Right now, he's probably up behind her with a pool stick,

showing her how to shoot a combo...

And he don't know...

That I dug my key into the side

of his pretty little souped up 4 wheel drive,

carved my name into his leather seats...

I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights,

slashed a hole in all 4 tires...

Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.

Right now, she's probably up singing some

white-trash version of Shania karaoke.

Right now, she's probably saying, "I'm drunk"

and he's a-thinking that he's gonna get lucky,

Right now, he's probably dabbing on

3 dollars worth of that bathroom Polo*...

Oh, and he don't know...

That I dug my key into the side

of his pretty little souped up 4 wheel drive,

carved my name into his leather seats,

I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights,

slashed a hole in all 4 tires...

Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.

I might've saved a little trouble for the next girl,

'cause the next time that he cheats...

Oh, you know it won't be on me!

No... not on me

'Cause I dug my key into the side

of his pretty little souped up 4 wheel drive,

carved my name into his leather seats...

I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights,

slashed a hole in all 4 tires...

Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.

Oh, maybe next time he'll think before he cheats...

Oh, before he cheats... oh, oh.

Ah, yes...nice one Tigercub! These types of songs are empowering...the kind that, when I am triggering or just feeling a little crazy about it all, I can turn on my Ipod, listen, and direct the anger at a punching bag instead of verbally attacking my fwh...

Thank you so much for sharing!

"That Wasn't Me" by Brandi Carlile resonated with me as a reconciling, fWW.

Hang on, just hang on for a minute

I've got something to say

I'm not asking you to move on or forget it

But these are better days

To be wrong all along and admit is not amazing grace

But to be loved like a song you remember

Even when you've changed

Tell me did I go on a tangent?

Did I lie through my teeth?

Did I cause you to stumble on your feet?

Did I bring shame on my family?

Did it show when I was weak?

Whatever you see, that wasn't me

That wasn't me, that wasn't me

When you're lost you will toss every lucky coin you'll ever trust

And you will hide from every god like he never turns his back on us

And you will fall all the way to the bottom and fall on your own knife

But you'll learn who you are even if it doesn't take your life

Tell me did I go on a tangent?

Did I lie through my teeth?

Did I cause you to stumble on your feet?

Did I bring shame on my family?

Did it show when I was weak?

Whatever you see, that wasn't me

That wasn't me, that wasn't me

But I want you to know that you'll never alone

I wanna believe do I make myself a blessing to everyone I meet

When you fall I will get you on your feet

Do I spend time with my family?

Did it show when I was weak?

When that's what you see, that will be me

That will be me, that will be me

That will be me

I am sure that song brings out some strong emotions for you. I saw the pain my fwh experienced when the A was brought to light...the fear of losing his family...not being able to eat and being physically ill. I imagine a truly repentant ws feels pain and shock all of theor own...and when that A all comes crashing down...and when they never wanted to leave the bs and are faced with what they have done...

That cant be a good day.

This song has strong words...falling on your own knife, for example, really speaks to me of the choice you made, your tool and weapon, and you harmed yourself.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It is late now, but I am going to look it up tomorrow to hear it.

Miriam by Norah Jones. Very dark, but during angry days, singing it at the top of my lungs has helped. :)

I have not heard that one...but will check it out tomorrow. She has a beautiful voice...and I think that having a nice range of emotions in the bs playlist is good...i still have my dark moments here and there and music is soothing when it fits your mood, even if dark.

Oooh, yep that is dark...and I will be adding to my playlist....

It made me remember a song by deangelo... Shyte, damn, motha effer...yes, thats the songs title...

Two of the verses:

album:Brown Sugar [1995]genre:-

why are you sleeping with my woman

why are you sleeping with my woman

comes as a total suprise

my best friend and my wife

why the both of you buck-balled naked

why the both of you buck-balled naked

I tell ya what's on my mind

I'm bout to go get my nine

and kill both of yalls behinds

Well, when I was getting over my gf cheating on me I listen almost daily "Every Lie" by My darkest days.

"Every Lie"

So where did you sleep the night before

I doubt that your phone was dying

I'm supposed to believe that was what you wore

Said you were alone, I don't buy it

Now I can't stay

Surrounded by

Every lie that won't come true

Now you wanna take the time

But why would you

Think you're gonna make it right

But how could you

So I can't stay

(surrounded)

Surrounded by

(surrounded by)

Every lie

You might as well just stop crying

It doesn't mean much to me anymore

A little too late to start trying

I'm taking this love of the life support

Now I can't stay

Surrounded by

Every lie that won't come true

Now you wanna take the time

But why would you

Think you're gonna make it right

But how could you

That is definately a good one...and the words ring true. When you find out about the affair and realize all the lies you cant help but wonder...what was true? :(

When your ws (or ww so) has been holding you, loving you, acting like all is good and you have all of their heart, promising they are dedicated to you and only you...and then find out that was a lie...oh my. The pain of a bs who has dedicated years of their lives, married, built a life with, dreamed with, cried with a person who lied so blatantly...it is devastating.

It cannot be compared to what the ap, who knowing signed up for the A, is going thru on dday. The element of surprise feels like falling. Surrounded by lies.

Thank you for sharing.

It's finally over

But i can't even cry

So, don't you give me no sweet talk

You done told your last lie

I was your puppet

Just a dancin', dancin' on a string

But when the sun went down last night,

Lord, it changed everything

Today i feel different

¡®cause now i can see

That you care more ¡®bout yourself

Than mistreatin' me

It took me a long time

To figure you out

But misery and pain

Ain't what loves all about

(chorus)

I was your woman

But ya threw it away

I used to be your very own

Custom made, love slave, do anything for you, little fool

But that was yesterday

That was yesterday

And so it goes

Another lesson gets learned

And in the big book of experience

Another page gets turned

Now you say you need me

Well, honey, you got some nerve

I hope some sweet tomorrow

We'll get what we deserve

(repeat chorus)

I'm packing up and movin' on

Your real good thing is good and gone

Don't Leave (Stay) Lyrics

Blackstreet

No baby, no baby, no baby

No, no, no

If you take your love away from me

I'll go crazy,

I’ll go insane

No baby, no baby, no baby

No, no, n

baby, no baby, no baby

No, no, no

You’ve got your problems baby and

I’ve got mone

Let’s just spend it all by putting it together, yeah

When you say you love me it don’t mean a thin

gIf you care, you’ll be there, like you used to be, yeah

I’m searching for the words to make you realize

That I really, really want you to stay, oh

Tears of frustration I hold inside

But if you walk away you’ll make this grown man cry

Don’t leave, don’t leave me girl

Please stay with me tonight

tDon’t leave me girl

Please stay with me tonight

Forget my pride girl,

I beg you you’re my heart, you’re my soul

You’ve got so much control

My love runs deep within the ocean and sea

But if you sail away you’ll take a center piece of me

Don’t leave, don’t leave me girl

Please stay with me tonight

Don’t leave me girl

Please stay with me tonight

No, don’t go

Don’t leave, don’t leave me girl

Please stay with me tonight

Don’t leave me girl

Please stay with me tonight

Stay, stay, stay

Stay right here with me forever

Stay, stay, stay

Stay right here with me forever

If you take your love away from me

I’ll go crazy, crazy, crazy, insane

If you take your love away from me

I’ll go crazy,

I’ll go insane

If you take your love away from me

I’ll go crazy,

I’ll go insane

Stay, stay, stay

Stay right here with me forever

Stay, stay, stay

Stay right here with me forever

No, no, noNo baby, no baby, no baby

Here is another bs song...one for bs who has revenge affair...

Creep....TLC

The 22nd of loneliness and we've

Been through so many thangs

I love my man with all honesty

But I know he's cheatin' on me

I look him in his eyes but all he

Tells me is lies to keep me near

I'll never leave him down though

I might mess around it's only'

Cause I need some affection oh

[Chorus]

So I creep yeah

Just keep it on the down low

Said nobody is supposed 2 know

So I creep yeah'

Cause he doesn't know

What I do and no attention

Goes to show oh so I creep

The 23rd of loneliness

And we don't talk

Like we used 2 do

Now it seems pretty

Strange but I'm not

Buggin' 'cause I still feel

The same yeah yeah

I'll keep giving loving

Till the day he pushes me away

Never go astrayIf he knew the

Things I did he couldn't

Handle itAnd I choose 2 keep him

Protected oH

[Chorus]

I think about us baby all the time

But you know that

I'm gonna need some attention

Yeah, yeah can you dig it

Love you forever baby soul & mind

And you gotta know if

You don't give it I'ma

Get mine

Oh I oh I oh I yeah

Oh I oh I oh I baby

Oh I oh I oh I yeah

Yeah yeah yeah

[Chorus

]I creep around because I need attention

Don't mess around with my affection

Oh I oh I oh I yeah

I am not particularly found of country music but this song really hit directly into my heart

DARYLE SINGLETARY - I LET HER LIE LYRICS

She'd come home, 6 a.m.

Tells me she'd been out with friends

And I let her lie

I let her lie

And in the glare of the morning sun

She swore I was her only one

And I let her lie

I let her lie

'Cause the truth was too hard to handle

And I couldn't bare to lose that girl

We were that small town scandal but

She was my only world

One teary night she confessed her sins

But she vowed to never cheat again

And I let her lie

I let her lie

Though she tried Lord, she could not change

And I only have myself to blame

'Cause I let her lie

I let her lie

'Cause the truth was too hard to handle

And I couldn't bare to lose that girl

We were that small town scandal but

She was my only world

The day I left no words were said

She was sound asleep on our double bed

And I let her lie

I let her lie

I let her lie

I let her lie

I took a different path 9-10 years ago when my marriage ended after revelations of XW's actions. The music I favoured was loud and angry (Rage Against The Machine, Guns N' Roses, stuff like that).

It was amazing how good that made me feel. I've said many times since then that anger feels a lot better than sadness. Sadness makes you want to curl up in a corner and die. Anger gets your heart pumping and makes you want to DO something, rather than just getting dragged under. For me, I channeled the anger into workouts. Half an hour to an hour at the gym, listening to loud angry music, was the best therapy a lot of the time.

It's been a while, I'm not who I was before

You look surprised, your words don't burn me anymore

Been meaning to tell you, but I guess it's clear to see

Don't be mad, it's just the brand new kind of me

Can't be bad, I found a brand new kind of free

Careful with your ego, he's the one that we should blame

Had to grab my heart back

God knows something had to change

I thought that you'd be happy

I found the one thing I need, why you mad

It's just the brand new kind of me

It took a long long time to get here

It took a brave, brave girl to try

It took one too many excuses, one too many lies

Don't be surprised, don't be surprised

If I talk a little louder

If I speak up when you're wrong

If I walk a little taller

I've been under you too long

If you noticed that I'm different

Don't take it personally

Don't be mad, it's just the brand new kind of me

That ain't bad, I found a brand new kind of free

Oh, it took a long long road to get here

It took a brave brave girl to try

I've taken one too many excuses, one too many lies

Don't be surprised, oh see you look surprised

Hey, if you were a friend, you want to get know me again

If you were worth the while

You'd be happy to see me smile

I'm not expecting sorry

I'm too busy finding myself

I got this

I found me, I found me, yeah

I don't need your opinion

I'm not waiting for your ok

I'll never be perfect, but at least now i'm brave

Now, my heart is open

And I can finally breathe

Don't be mad, it's just the brand new kind of free

That ain't bad, I found a brand new kind of me

Don't be mad, it's a brand new time for me, yeah

Don't Leave (Stay) Lyrics

Blackstreet

All great!

There is a song by Alicia Keys that I am currently humming around the house. By the way I love that woman. I have heard some industry rumors that she was involved in an EMR with Swizz Beats (her current husband) when he was still with his ex-wife Moshonda. I have seen some interviews with her and she confirms that it is true. I hate to hear that. I guess no one is immune to this.

"Goodbye"

Mhmn bye bye

How do you love someone

That hurts you oh so bad

With intentions good

Was all he ever had

But how do I let go when I've

Loved him for so long and I've

Given him all that I could

Maybe love is a hopeless crime

Giving up what seems your lifetime

What went wrong with something once so good

How do you find the words to say

To say goodbye

If your heart don't have the heart to say

To say goodbye

I know now I was naïve

Never knew where this would lead

And I'm not trying to take away

From the good man that he is

But how do I let go when I've

Loved him for so long and I've

Given him all that I could

Was it something wrong that we did

Because others infiltrated

What went wrong with something once so good

How do you find the words to say

To say goodbye

If your heart don't have the heart to say

To say goodbye

Is this the end are you sure

How should you know when you've never been here before

It's so hard to just let go

When this is the one and only love I've ever known

So how do you find the words to say

To say goodbye

If your heart don't have the heart to say

To say goodbye

[Fade out]

How do you find the words to say

To say goodbye

If your heart don't have the heart to say

To say goodbye

Is this the end are you sure

How should you know when you've never been here before

It's so hard to just let go

When this is the one and only love I've ever known

So how do you find the words to say

To say goodbye

If your heart don't have the heart to say

To say goodbye

[Fade out]

I have loved alechia keys since fallin, and man was I disappointed to find out about not only the emr but her disrespect to Mo...rumour is Mo tried to find the truth and akeys lied and avoided...guess she read the ow handbook...i would much rather know the truth and be done with it...how much it would hurt to find that, like in this case, your wh not only gaslighted and lied straight up when he really did want ow, but to have ow do the same? What a mind f**k. Hellz no! If that is how it is, set me free, you know what I mean?

To me, that is just so cold and just adds to the pain. Grrr.

I used to love unthinkable...but now it makes me think its an ow song...

But shoot, she does have some good songs, she is a talented lady.

Blackstreet

Montell Jordan

Ok, I am stuck I'm Blackstreet...another song that could be fitting for a WA perhaps? Don't leave...loooooove that song! Lyrics beloW...

Don't Leave (Stay) Lyrics

Blackstreet

All great!

There is a song by Alicia Keys that I am currently humming around the house. By the way I love that woman. I have heard some industry rumors that she was involved in an EMR with Swizz Beats (her current husband) when he was still with his ex-wife Moshonda. I have seen some interviews with her and she confirms that it is true. I hate to hear that. I guess no one is immune to this.

"Goodbye"

Mhmn bye bye

How do you love someone

That hurts you oh so bad

With intentions good

Was all he ever had

But how do I let go when I've

Loved him for so long and I've

Given him all that I could

Maybe love is a hopeless crime

Giving up what seems your lifetime

What went wrong with something once so good

How do you find the words to say

To say goodbye

If your heart don't have the heart to say

To say goodbye

I know now I was naïve

Never knew where this would lead

And I'm not trying to take away

From the good man that he is

But how do I let go when I've

Loved him for so long and I've

Given him all that I could

Was it something wrong that we did

Because others infiltrated

What went wrong with something once so good

How do you find the words to say

To say goodbye

If your heart don't have the heart to say

To say goodbye

Is this the end are you sure

How should you know when you've never been here before

It's so hard to just let go

When this is the one and only love I've ever known

So how do you find the words to say

To say goodbye

If your heart don't have the heart to say

To say goodbye

I guess you can't forget about R Kelly (all that hiding in the closet **** is good for As) haha. but his old stuff is unbeatable. Though he's creepy. And Maxwell. Jagged Edge. This is all for my R&B folk, country lovers won't get it :p

I agree with you...sad love songs aren't always the best thing...and I do find much value in turning up the angry music and getting a great workout....my gave when I am in such a mood is kickboxing OR boxing, even of it is just tae bo style :p

Plus the added benefits of exercise...feeling and looking better...all around excellent therapy!
