6mm Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 (edited) When I was about 22 I first found out that my father had two little girls after him and my mother split up, I'm in my mid 20's. One is a few years younger and the other is over 10 years younger. I never even knew their names until the older one (J) found and contacted me online yesterday. It all feels very surreal, almost like a movie. It makes me sad that I couldn't have been there for them the way a big brother should. They both live out of the province but J will be in the area this Summer and we are going to meet each other for the first time. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Any advice or anything? Thank you Edited May 23, 2013 by 6mm
SparklingCherry Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I went through this same thing about a year ago, I was the one who found my three younger sisters and contacted them via facebook. I was nervous before meeting them but when we did meet we discovered we had lots in common and have been building a relationship with them. Now me and my youngest sister meet up quite often as she only lives around the corner! So good luck!!! I'm sure it will be fine 1
