Girlfriend of 4 years 8 months broke it off, finding it hard to deal with the situation want her back not sure what to do. I recently have been unemployed for the last 5 months and about a month after moving in with the inlaws she ended it, told me i wasn't right for her, we didn't have the same goals in life, she didn't love me anymore, all seem like generic reasons to me, but at the same time i can see reason behind them, she is a big country girl im sort of a city boy but not so much and she doesnt think i will commit to the country life in the future, however i would have happily done it. I have been unemployed the last 5 months and she supported me through it, i started playing too many games here and there and was a bit depressed and started neglecting her, i was warned here and there about things she didn't really like and that we need to do things as a couple, by the time i got out of feeling sorry for myself and realizing i need to be more affectionate to her it was over. We never fought and always tried to talk things through, not only 2 months before she was begging me to pop the question. I did the whole try talk it out and tell her i have acknowledged our problems and am willing to work on it, tell her i loved her. All i got was at the moment she 100% doesnt want to come back to it and its over and more than likely nothing will change even with time. So im trying NC at the moment, I know where i went wrong and i still love her, how do i show her i am working my ass off and sort my **** out so that she will even give me a second glance if im not talking to her.

Yeah dude, you screwed up. But, at least you're admitting to it. She put up with a lot for 4 years and she hit her breaking point. Here's the sad part, once a woman makes up her mind, there's not a damn thing you can do to change their minds. Plus, I'm sure that her friends influenced her to drop you, so if she got back with you it would mean that she goes against her friends who are now a welcomed support network to her now.

Okay, so you want to make changes; which is great! But, you should want to make changes for yourself and only for yourself. You've made mistakes. Learn from them and learn what not to do in your next relationship.

I think you might have to write this off dude.
