How many monthaversaries have you had so far? Maybe the first 2 I get but after that it seems overkill and kind of loses its meaning.

Well, look at it this way, it's just not sensible or sustainable to go 'above and beyond' every single month, not to mention all the other occasions that Jane mentioned.

So, if you want to do this thing, keep it small, perhaps just a little reminder to do something small and nice for your SO, that most people do anyway. Cook dinner for her, or buy her her favourite snack or DVD, something like that. Save the bigger and more elaborate stuff for other less frequent occasions.

Good point. She isn't asking for much anyway. She said flowers and a card, or some cheap jewelry is fine. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks

14? :o I don't think every single one we got gifts for each other. but it each was celebrated. It hasn't lost it's meaning to her, that's for sure. but she's always been this way about relationships. Even her past ones.

"OMG 20 minutes with the best guy ever!" :lmao:

Rofl, flowers and a card or jewelry every single month sounds like it would get exhausting pretty quickly. To me at least.

I'm all for doing little things for your partner to show that you care. But I tend to prefer organic, natural, spontaneous things. Him randomly picking up dessert for me on the way back from work. Stuff like that. Bouquets and such have their place, but usually in yearly occasions like VDay. If you 'have' to do something every month, be careful that you don't end up thinking of it as a chore. As long as you don't, that's all good, but if you start to feel that way, you'd better have a candid talk with her about that.

52 weekaversaries, 12 monthaversaries, and..........today is the day! Someone got his butt up and out of the house, leaving me here in suspense. What will it be? He's probably at the hardware store, LOL!

We acknowledge them but once a year rolls around we will most likely keep it to a high five and a woot! Lol
