PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!!

Theres this girl, we met each other through friends in a party. We got to know each other better and before you know it i started liking her. We started to hang out alot maybe like every other day. We both like each other but we dont really want to get into a relationship bcoz i just got out of a bad one and she just got out of one also. We've made out before and even had dry sex (she got an orgasm). My Problem is, everytime i see her talking to another guy, I SHUT DOWN! like i know i dont have the right to...but i end up doing it. We're not going out and so i have no right to shut down everytime she talks to another guy. I totally pull myself away from and end up ignoring her!....it really makes me mad that i do that! Can anyone help me?? WHY DO I SHUT DOWN??????? AND HOW CAN I PREVENT THIS?? please help me.

Being 17 and living in california is hard enuff :p

Maybe you just have some self esteem issues to work out? Is it that you feel you aren't as "good" as the guys she's talking to? I used to be very insecure and had such low self esteem and I was a very jealous girlfriend and even jealous friend. They only thing I can say is try to work on feeling more confident and don't worry so much. She obviously likes you in some way or she wouldn't be talking to you.

Because you're young and you feel intimidated by the presence of a male in her company, who in your eyes is a threat to you. You feel threatened that there's other guys out that could be attracted to her...that doesn't mean she'll be attracted to them though.

Be confident in yourself and all you have to offer as a person. Show your confidence, without appearing to be arrogant. If you're with her, introduce yourself, "Hey [insert his name], I'm [insert your name], how you doin?". You don't have to do this every time, just sometimes. If your cool and casual about it, she'll admire that.

Other than that, just continue things as they are (while working on your insecurities) and see what happens.
