Had a vivid, sucky-as.s dream last night and just feel down today. Barely made it to work this morning, but somehow, I did :).

Grrrrrrr!!! I just want to feel better. Hate the fact that this process is so up and down. Currently, self-esteem and self-confidence is low. I'm hoping things will start to turn around soon, and the downs will become less than the ups.

BU = 3+ months

NC = 67 days

Awwww, I'm sorry. Must have been the night for sucktastic dreams. Mine was that my ex called to tell me he had a new girlfriend. I actually am okay.

Give it time. What are you doing to move on and distract? Go for a run or a bike ride or something. Take a walk. Get the blood moving.

Look what the ups and downs brought you. Congratulations, that's great! Keep going. You did it the past 67 days, double it now! :)

I know it's easier said then done though.

Those thoughts and vivid dreams will continue to lurk as if some sort of evil test. Don't let them ruin what you worked hard for.

At least your ex didn't call you to say they found someone new like the other poster! How rude! (although, I did that to my ex immaturely, but he deserved it) I'm sorry aisuru :(

Wow, 67 days is a really long time. That is very impressive. I know that the dreams suck but they will eventually fade too. It's just that whatever happens to lurk in your subconscious will usually show up in your dreams. Once your ex is less prevalent in your mind, the appearances in your dreams will lessen too.

Keep up the good work! ;)

Yeah, trying very hard, as I want to get past this soon and completely. I know it will be tough, because I really fell for this one. Asked her to marry me 2 years ago, and even moved to a small town for/with her :D

Here's what I am currently doing:

-Lot's of posting here :) (almost 500 in 3 months - WTF?! :laugh:)

-Trying to hit the awesome riding trail near my new place regularly.

-Hanging with limited amount of friends/coworkers.

-Joined a meetup club, but it is moving slowly. But moving :)

-Seeking therapy every 7 to 10 days.

-Trying to get my career back on track, as I am just working for a paycheck right now, and not very happy with it.

-Formulating a plan to get out of this town since it has nothing to offer me, and the ex has made it her new home.

-Go out alone regularly,as it doesn't really bother me to do so. Sometimes it's even kind of fun.

-Trying to develop my right brain, as I am deeply left thinker and have discovered this is important for me to grow and improve my thought process.

-Trying mindful meditation

(Last 2 I think will help me develop more of an inner strength to draw upon and and find more inner happiness and peace from without seeking it from another person)

Weeeellll, I did have to break it twice early on to take care of business with the ex, but absolutely no talk of "I miss you", or any other RS/BU crap. Just business... So, I don't count that, even though the second time did get my blood boiling a bit :D

Whoops, allow me to clarify. :laugh: I dreamed he called to invite me to go with him out of town on his next project for several months because I'm fun to travel with (truth!) but he told me he had a girlfriend at the end of the call. That is what I woke up to.

It's all good.

mtnbiker - I feel your pain man... I'm 2 months since BU and only like 3 weeks of NC. Things do get better, even though I like you am feeling pretty down today. (Mostly due to recent dreams of reconciliation...those are the worst)

But I have had some good moments already and periods of time where I havent thought about her. Also I'm finally moving back to Texas next Thursday!!! (For those of you who don't know... I live 1 block from my ex in Seattle...where I moved for her) So yes I'm excited to reset myself and start fresh far away.

You know what doesn't help... everytime I get on facebook and everyone is getting engaged and having babies... SOB. lol
