egalew Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I posted earlier in the weekend about this. Met a guy online. We have a date. It will go well. He'll text/e-mail and say: "When can I see you?" I'll respond saying when and it will go radio silent. We have had three dates, thus far. Last Tuesday, he reached out. I responded back. And then no response from him. And then last night get e-mail: "Hi! When can you get together?" It pisses me off. Do I say something like: "This doesn't work for me so I'm gonna take a pass." Go on date? Or, not respond. Like person, but don't like the way I'm being asked out.
TaraMaiden Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Flogging a dead horse here, dearie. Tell him unless he gets more involved and proactive, you've had enough of being messed about. Get a grip or get off. You're tired of his lukewarm attitude.
nerd Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 how did you get the three dates if he keeps doing the radio silence? Or did this behavior only start after the three dates?
phineas Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I hate this crap. I see it all the time with OLD. Someone who communicates this way in my experience is either living with someone or playing games. I don't care what anyone says about the electronic age, this type of communication is just not normal & no sane person would think it is. I tell them to call me back when I call them for a date (because they never answer). If they text back I call them back. They still don't answer then text me back. At that point I just ignore them because I don't want to deal with it anymore.
Author egalew Posted May 22, 2013 Author Posted May 22, 2013 Nerd - How'd I get the 3 dates? Had first date. Went well. Follows up for a second. Agree to date. Goes radio silent. So, I text to say I have other plans. Comes back to town. Tries to jump start the situation. We go on date two and three. He attempts to make plans for date four. Then goes radio silent. I assume I'm off the radar and he's back. WTF?
