Why does this guy hide that he's in a relationship?

What kind of men try to hide the fact that they're in a relationship? It's not a big secret but he seems to go to length to hide it from me.

 

We aren't dating or on the verge of. So I don't understand why he would do that.

 

What gives?

How is he hiding it? I never post on facebook "in a relationship" but I don't try to hide it. The people that matter already know.

 

But if he's going to great lengths, as you say (whatever that means) then it's likely he's trying to cheat on his girl.

He ends phone conversations with his girlfriend when he sees me approaching or he hides his phone messages like he would die if I saw them.

 

Is this great length?

Do you know for sure it's his girlfriend? I dunno seems sketchy either way. Anyone that hides their phone or is private to the point of being extreme is a red flag for me every time. I understand people want their privacy but....I think you know where I'm going with that.

I know what you mean. Because I may hide my phone but not in the way he does it. I may do it more openly because everyone's entitled to their privacy but the way he does it is quite shady.
