This is so strange. I've known this guy for 3 years, dated for about 6 months and for some reason it didn't work out - don't really remember what.

Anyhow, we became friends, offered each other relationship advice and generally got along as friends do.

He was actually there for me whilst going through my painful break up (via phone) and was supported.

He has now asked me out for drinks on Friday, something we haven't done since we dated and also offered me to crash at his place. He also invited me out to a comedy night with him and his friends, jokingly asked if his friends were attractive and single to which he replied they were a couple.

Anywho, do you think it would be wise to go for drinks with him? I am 100% over him but he is familiar and we get along so well and converse like conversational wizards.

So yay or nay? :s

Go out and have fun. Just because he invited you to drinks doesn't mean he wants to be in a relationship. Rely on your body language to make a point that you consider him a friend.

If he actually gets direct with you, then you let him know you are not interested in pursuing a relationship with him.
