whisperoftheheart Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Well its been odd. Im 3 months post breakup after 2.5 years together. Thought we were the 'real deal' but after too much time apart he ended it. Both hurt by it. I met the ex to exchange stuff. Im surprised at my own strength. It was fine I ensured he knew that i agreed nothing would have changed prior if he was unhappy we would have floated along. I also said the past is unchangeable but all you can do is move forward as you dont know what may happen. He apologised for it all. I said mine on my behaviour towards the end and it was a real shame we can't get on. I'd like to think we levelled. He originally wouldn't meet for coffee kind before seeing him. But by the end he said 'no we should meet up' I have left it with him for when hes ready. Im not sat waiting for it by any means. But is that progress towards understanding/potential reconciliation or am I over thinking?
aisuru Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 It's progress. Period. Right now it's too early to wonder if it's progress in healing and moving on or healing and moving toward reconciliation. Just continue to take care of yourself.
