Divorced 6mths really want him back is it hopeless? 12 years married 4 kids

Looking for some advice about the chances of re-gaining a spouse after divorce

 

I was married for 12 years and have 4 children. My x was having an affair and left- he swore at the time there was no one else, however has admitted to adultery. All the signs were there, he lost alot of weight, bought new clothes, worked late- went out from work- I just never thought he would cheat/ or leave.

 

The divorce has been fianl for about 6 mths. I can't seem to get over the loss of my family. I did get the kids, but I hate that they don't have there dad.

 

Any advice on how to get him back- and thoughts on the whole "if you love someone, set them free, if they come back they were yours, if not they never really were" Because I know he was mine and loved me very much.

Thanks so much for the links! I know he still loves me and the children, I think he just has to see how much he lost.- your story is so familiar in many ways, the whole call him and he blows you off- but don't and he is calling you- mine works the same way- I can completly relate to your feelings, once you go through a period without them and have some balance its hard to put yourself out there again- thank you for coming back and sharing your story- Good Luck!
