bellasue Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 It's not a super big deal. But I was sitting with my son at a tournament he had, went to get lunch, returned, ate lunch, talked with other parents. Then had a BIG AHA moment. I hadn't thought of xMM in SEVERAL HOURS. Not even once. I think this is the first time since dday and NC that this has happened. And I allowed myself a smile and a little fist pump. It is indeed a better day. So all us NC buddies--stay strong......hearts mend slowly. (((hugs))) 11
DelusionalOne Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Congratulations! That's a great feeling isn't it? It will happen more frequently now. I am looking forward to the "Aha moment" when I realize I haven't thought about him for a week or more! 1

Author bellasue Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 Delusional one: I can't wait for that point. I was so excited today. Feel like I am getting some of me back!
Goodbye Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Bellasue, how long has it been since the relationship ended? I think that is fantastic. I've had this happen a couple of times; been really engaged in something and start to feel "complete" and I realize I'm not dwelling on the exMM. It is good and healthy and a sign of healing. I hope it happens more and more for you. Remember that feeling and remind yourself you ARE complete without him.
Author bellasue Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 It has been just over a month. And of course, I am by no means completely over it and/or him. But it's a small step in the right direction!
Nattie Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 That's wonderful! I have had a few of those moments myself over the weekend... although I am FAR from in a good place, and moved on, I think there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Hugs!!! 1
