Earlier today, I went over to my ex's old house, a place she and I spent a lot of time together. To explain the situation a bit more, before the BU, I knew when her lease would be expiring. Since I'm on my 4th month of NC, I didn't travel to her house while she was still living there, but after I knew she moved out, I traveled there, seeing that there were already other occupants in the home, a family of four. Well, today marked the fifth month since it all came crashing down, with her finding explicit chats on my instant messenger with other girls. So, I thought I'd approach the resident of the home, ask him or her if I could stand in the yard for awhile because the home was very sentimental to me and leave afterwards. After I knocked on the front door twice, a county sheriff pulled up into the driveway, asking me what I was doing there. I'm suspecting the residents called the cops after seeing me at the front door. I wasn't arrested, but the officer gave me a warning, telling me the owner of the home did not want to see me back of his property. I got into my car crying, feeling so stupid and embarrassed. As a reminder, I decided to keep the warning citation the officer gave me, pinning it up on my wall in my room, making sure I know the consequences of holding on to something that is gone for good.

Do you really want the first thing you look at every day to remind you of something bad, and then something that's even worse?

For now, yes. The citation corresponds to the reality of the situation. It's almost symbolic in a certain sense, providing me with an emotional warning not to try and cling on to something that has moved on, literally.

I did something stupid. Police. too tonight.

On my way home I tried to beat the light and went through when it was red. Two bright lights went flash flash and I think they got a picture of me running a red light. :(

Oh please don't ever do that again. That is crazy dude. You'll look back at this and feel so beyond silly for doing such a thing. I did something similiar 2 years ago with the BU of my ex of 4.5 years. I was such an emotional turmoil, I drove to his house and stared at his house and balcony for 4 hours straight. Driving back and forth past his front door just to get a sense of closure thru the act of being around his presence from outside?

Omg, 2 years later... I can't believe I did that. Would never allow myself to stoop that low for another human being!

Yeah, I can only imagine the family was thinking "who the hell is this crazed dude?" I was very embarrassed.

Ha!! Thought I got my third one of those in a year the other day (well 6 weeks ago). But I got lucky and for whatever reason, it didn't catch me. Or the reviewing officer let it go. It was close, and the guy in front of me actually stopped at the green? WTF?!? Then by the time I slammed on the brakes, honked and went through the light, I noticed it was already red. Got lucky I guess :p Actually, it is HUGE that I didn't get this ticket. Would have been an additional $500 and a enourmous increase in my insurance. Would have been a big blow to my already smashed self esteem. Guess I got really lucky. Needless to say, now, I drive very carefully, Very...

Jesus how long were you there? It must have been quite a while if you were still there once the cops showed up...

I seriously was only over there for 5 mins, if that. I'm a bit unsure if the occupants of the home called or a the cop was passing by, and seeing how I was parked illegally, stopped. When ever owner of the house came out, he asked why there was a cop in his driveway.
