distorted_paranoia Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I have a very naive friend. She acts how we acted in 3rd grade and always talks about random ***** and annoys me to no end. Recently my patience has been wearing thin and when she annoys me too much, I hit her without thinking, which is bad on my part. Anyways, we are BFFs, but I don't feel that too much anymore. I don't want to be friends anymore, but she is very naive and I don't want her to take it the wrong way. Plus, my school is very small, so I'll have to deal with her for the next year. Help?
ForeverHopeful1 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 You hit her????????????????????? Once? Or whenever she annoys you? She still wants to be friends with you? There is not really much anyone can say here other than just tell her you dont think your friendship is working for either of you, and that you may be better off not being friends anymore. Just like any other relationship where you break up, try to start no contact with her. You can be civil without starting WWIII over this. You dont have to be mean when you see her. The summer is coming up too, so that should give you the space you need and when the new school years starts, hopefully there are no hard feelings from not speaking for a few months. I would also try to figure out why you resort to violence when someone aggravates you. This is unhealthy. You are not entitled to do this simply because someone is annoying, naive and gets on your nerves. It is childish and youre abusive. So do yourself and your BFF a favour and stop trying to force a relationship that isnt working for either of you. 1
