nvmx-5 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Ok, so I haven't been on here in a while but as I was googling "thinking about ex" I ended up here. I broke up with my ex-fiance over 7 months ago, we lived together and when she gave me the ring back I quickly moved out, leaving everything behind except for my cloths and one of the dogs (And I gave her enough money to cover 4 months rent). I went back to living with my parents which I swore was only going to be 2months. Fast forward 7months from the breakup, I now own a single family home by myself, I'm 40% complete with my Masters, I'm traveling across the world to a massive festival in July, and I've got a good routine at the gym going. I'm happy where I stand and as of now all I can do is look ahead. The last I heard from my ex was that quickly jumped into a relationship after me and..... well, that's all I know and I don't care to know more. It's best to keep it that way I'm basically writing this because I know many of you want to get back with your ex for one reason or another. There was a reason why the relationship failed, regardless if it was you or them. You will search high and low for answers to heel your pain, and all you'll read is: NC and "it'll get better one day at time". These are the things you don't want to read but I assure you it's true. We broke up 7 months ago and I took the best advice which was to focus on myself which makes a world of a difference. It is true that I think about her alot, but it's no longer the painful thoughts but more coming to understanding (I assume this is the final stage of closure). You will love again and someone will love you back. 4
flowergirl13 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Big festival in July.. could it be... tomorrowland?? NC is for the sake of your own sanity and to move on.. to hold onto hope that NC will bring a partner back just makes it harder and harder... Im hoping for a reconciliation too, and sure everyone says their relationship is different.. but I really do feel mine is a bit of a mess and isnt as clear cut. I guess maybe Im not ready for NC yet

I know NC is hard, the best way i handled it was staying busy. If I had the strongest urge to make contact I would write and email to her and just send it myself. I look back on them and remember the world of hurt I was in when writing, which makes me much stronger to continue forward.
