richard9 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Just wanted to post this to show that even though we are hurting we can try to move forward with our lives. So this is what I've accomplished since break up: 1. Got my own place, previously lived with my parents. 2. Applied and been accepted into University. 3. Achieved a Orange Belt in Kickboxing. 4. Gained around 6kg of muscle through weights at the Gym. 5. Stopped drinking (Presently 1 month clean). 6. Just stopped smoking. If my ex hadnt broken up with me I would still be living with my parents, would be working in a dead end job for the foreseeable future, not look as good in the mirror, not be able to defend myself, be drinking 4 to 6 cans of beer a night, be smoking myself to an early grave. So I guess that's something positive right? Yes it still hurts every now and again, but life doesn't end there. Hope this at least inspires someone who is struggling like I was, and even still am to some degree. 5

I hope you continue making progress and my father died an alcoholic so I will agree with you when you say drink yourself to death. Hope I can get on with life... But hope I get my ex back just as much. Good luck 1
Jord11 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Awesome job! I am trying to do the same, one day they will look back and regret what they have done
aisuru Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Awesome job! I am trying to do the same, one day they will look back and regret what they have done No. NO they won't. I'm just saying. You have to do these changes for YOU.
rainmayker Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I actually found myself in the same situation. When my ex-gf dumped me, I wasn't making any money and my self-confidence was low. When she left, I made my first 5-figure month... I actually want to go back and thank her for leaving me, because now I can afford just about anything I want!
denxnis Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Great job man. You saw the areas in your life that needed to improve and you did just that, improve them. Keep up the good work, you'll get far in life.
